PAKISTAN
• As of 27 July (NDMA), due to the recent floods, there were: 69 death, 36 people injured and over 290,000 people affected.
• Over the next 48 h, widespread rains (locally heavy) are forecast for most of the country, maintaining the risk of further flash flooding in the already affected areas. As of 28 July (PMD), significant flood is forecast for river Indus at Taunsa on 30-31 July.
INDIA
• Heavy rains affected central and western India over the past few days, causing floods.
• In Rajasthan: five dead and hundreds of people displaced. In Madhya Pradesh: two dead in Rajgarh district.
• Over the next 48h heavy rains may affect western India (IMD Red/Orange Warnings).
BANGLADESH
• Heavy rains are still affecting southern Bangladesh, causing floods and landslides.
• In Cox's Bazaar two people died on 27 July and another seven in Chittagong on 19 July.
• Over the next 24 h, more heavy heavy rains may still affect southern Bangladesh.
MYANMAR / BURMA
• Heavy rains continued affecting Myanmar / Burma, causing floods in the northern areas.
• Over ten people died in Mandalay Region and in Shan State since 24 July. Another seven people died over 17-19 July, in Sagaing, where over 70,000 people were affected.
• Over the next 48 h, heavy rains may still affect several areas of Myanmar / Burma, especially Rakhine and Chin States.
VIETNAM
• Heavy rainfall affected northern Vietnam, causing floods and landslides.
• In Quang Ninh: five dead and several houses damaged. In Son La: 30 houses damaged.
• Over the next 24 h heavy rains and winds may affect northern and central Vietnam.
CHINA
• Heavy rains, winds, floods affected eastern and southern China over the last week.
• In Anhui: five dead, 136 000 people displaced. In Fujian: 12 dead, 170,000 people displaced. In Guangxi: four dead.
• Heavy rains are still forecast for southeastern China over 28-29 July.
