NIGERIA - Violence
• Boko Haram's hit-and-run capability remains intact, despite advances by the Nigerian and Chadian armed forces. This week, Boko Haram insurgents killed 42 people in two villages of Borno State. A 12 year girl wearing a suicide bomb vest struck in Yobe, killing 10 people and injuring 30 others.
• Further displacement is ongoing in the North-East (already existing 1.5 million displaced people). Increased humanitarian assistance is needed.

Vietnam, China - Tropical Cyclone KUJIRA
• KUJIRA, after having affected southern China, caused heavy rains and consequent floods in northern Vietnam.
• As of 25 June, media reported seven dead, four people missing and several homes damaged in northern Vietnam.
• Over the next 24h heavy rain may still affect some areas of northern Vietnam.

PHILIPPINES - Severe weather
• Heavy rain affected southern Mindanao over 24-25 June, causing floods and landslides.
• Media reported three dead, thousands were affected in the provinces of South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat and Maguindanao.
• Over the next 24 h light to moderate rain and thunderstorm may affect some areas of central and southern Philippines.

INDIA - Severe weather
• Heavy rains affected western and northern India over the last few days, causing floods.
• In Gujarat state, media reported 41 dead, 4,550 people evacuated and electricity supply.
• Floods were observed in the districts of Kulgam, Bandipora and Barmulla, and Flood Alert has been issued for Anantnag and Pulwama.
• Over the next 24 h heavy to very heavy rain may affect some areas of Gujarat, and extremely heavy rains some areas of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.
